Aust Champion Kilcavan T'Worlds Not Enuff (imp UK) RIP My Darling Boy - Feb 2003 to Dec 2007 |
Edward was the first born of our two Imported HamiltonStovare and we couldn't be Prouder!! He has consistantly brought home Best of Breed wins in a day when judges are not afraid to send dogs homes without the elusive 'Challenge Certificate' - gone are the days that just because a dog may be rare and in the Show ring that it is automatically the best there is to offer and wins. He obtained his Australian Championship title early in the piece & has todate never been refused a Challenge - in fact, our Finnish judge for the Sydney Royal 2004 was quoted as having commented on how lovely he was and that if he were being shown in Europe she believed he would be doing extremely well. We are extremely proud that our HamiltonStovare are outstanding hounds and a true representation of the breed. The knowledge & experience of not only our breeder but a number of other experienced HamiltonStovare breeders and judges (in England & Sweden) behind our decision made it a decision that we could never regret and we look forward to the day when Australian judges become more experienced in judging the HamiltonStovare and start awarding these guys 'Group' and 'In Show' wins on a regular basis. HamiltonStovare are gentle, loving hounds and Edward has fitted into the 'Aussie' home life beautifully - after playing all day he loves nothing more than to come inside, curl up on the lounge and go sleep. He is just gorgeous in every way!! April 2004 brought yet another chapter with the arrival of the First Australian whelped HamiltonStovare litter to which our Edward was the Sire - 1 of these puppies has moved to Sunny Queensland and we wish him all the best - hoping he gives his Dad a good run for his money in the 'competition' department. September 2005 yet another exciting adventure - Edward becomes a Dad for the 2nd time ... he progeny will be seen shortly in the Queensland show Circuit and we wish them all success and happiness with their new owners December 2007 - One of the sadest days of my life is today (Tuesday 4th December) .... today, my beautiful, beautiful Edward has gone to the Rainbow Bridge where I know his Mum (Diana) and his Son (Hugo) would have been waiting for him. NEVER will there ever be another dog like my Edward and I will selfishly grieve his loss for all eternity. He was my first HamiltonStovare and whilst he won't be my last he will always take Pride of place in my heart. I can not thank Michelle Longman in England enough for allowing Edward to be part of our lives and for introducing us to the most magical & beautiful breed of dog that is the Hamiltonstovare. Edward has prooved to me beyond any shadow of a doubt that dogs are capable of the most incredible love for their human guardians. We will miss you always matey but you will never be far away whilst I am alive to remember you and one day I will take you home to England where together Michelle & I can scatter your ashes over the countryside where you were born.
