December 2004 - It's Official !!! Sven now joins Flo as a Dutch Champion - Congratulations Sven !!

Our import Sven has taken many years work for Meillion, we were adamant that the sire for Florence's puppies would be a Swedish gentleman! Sven was born on the 10th August 2002, but due to the UK Pet Passport Scheme it was not until August 2003 he joined us. It had taken my husband and I 3 years and numerous visits (you can read about our visits on the Meillion website) to persuade Sweden to part with one of their finest young men…Sven, we have been extremely lucky, but much thanks must go to Sven's breeder Lennart Ragnarsson for trusting him to Meillion.

In his short time with us, at Championship level, Sven has won his Junior Winners Title (NKK), making him the first and only UK Hamilton to be awarded this title. He has also won many first prizes at Championship Shows, his most recent a Major Green Star, CACIB and graded excellent in Ireland (IKC) the judge being Mr. G. Bodegard from Sweden, so as you can imagine we are extremely pleased with our new man!! He has now sired two lovely UK litters and we are looking forward to the puppies making their debut in the show ring.

Sven recently won Scent Hound group 3 at the Winner Show, Amsterdam 2004 and his Winner 04 Title. Sven has also made Breed History by becoming the first Hamilton bred in Sweden (now residing in the UK) to make Champion Status!
