December 2004 - After years of showing Tira has finally earned her Australian GRAND Champion Title

Whelped 16/4/99 Tira, Australia's first Hamilton, bounced off the plane from New Zealand on 7/7/99, and bounced staight into our hearts. From Day One , at almost 12 weeks of age, nothing has phased her- her confidence with everything and everyone is a credit to the breed. Tira had her show debut on 12/8/99 in Melbourne and was awarded Baby Puppy in Group. Her second Baby Puppy in Group was less than 4 weeks later and since she has taken many class in group awards. Tira achieved her Australian Championship title, the first Hamilton to do so, on 19/3/00.

As at 20/3/04, when she went on 'maternity leave' Tira had amassed 852 challenge points, well on her way to her Grand Chamionship title. On her way she has never been refused a challenge! On 21/4/04 Tira whelped the first Hamilton litter in Australia to Kilcavan T'Worlds Not Enuff owned by Sharen and Jody Beck and we hope to repeat this mating in 2005. No wonder we named her 'First at Foxrhode', so many FIRST's!! Tira was accepted onto the Victorian State Governments Responsible Pet Education Program early in 2002 and we estimate has since visited approx 200 primary schools and pre schools with over 13,000 children patting her!! We look forward to seeing Tira's pups in the show ring and hopefully to gaining her Grand Championship in the near future, with many more to follow in her footsteps.
